However I may have improved the site in the last five years in terms of design skill, attractiveness, web standards compliance and Ajax gimmickry, and no matter how important or unimportant those things may in fact be, at least I can say the site is definitely more coherent now than it was then. And whether or not that is an improvement, Dear Reader, I leave to you.

I'm very, very close to a finished mock-up for the much-hyped February Redesign, and I can tell you one thing about it: it's all about the plaid.
